Graffiti as art

Graffiti as art

Merely mention the word “graffiti”, and you are certain to evoke a range of emotions in individuals.  At its worst, graffiti represents a disregard for property, and for the public at large.  However, given a proper space, graffiti can become a living art form.

Two galleries have been put together here for your enjoyment.  The first highlights works that can be found in my hometown of Ottawa, the second highlights works that we enjoyed on a pilgrimage to the Toronto back alleys made famous by Rick Mercer during his rant pieces.
