Twillingate, NL

Having heard that icebergs could be seen in Twillingate while we were visiting Gros Morne National Park was pretty exciting.  After all, this was September and the time of year is considered to be pretty late for viewing icebergs.

Our trip to see icebergs first hand was delayed with a side trip to Auk Island Winery in Twillingate.  We were intrigued by the funky names (eg. Krooked Code, Jelly Bean Row) of their wines, and decided to purchase a few bottles.

The icebergs in Notre Dame Bay were garnering a well deserved level of attention.  Many folks lined the shoreline observing the sight in front of them.

You can read more about this trip, and the hospitality of the Newfoundland people, here.
