A picture posted on The Weathernetwork’s website was captioned with enough information to guide me to a wonderful opportunity…

The parking lot on the Rockcliffe Parkway was filled to capacity, with nary a clue as to where my anticipated subject(s) might be found.  A fellow photographer had arrived at about the same time as me, and without any prompting, offered to take me to a clearing where as many as 4 owls had been spotted.

The sight of birders and photographers confirmed that I had arrived at the right place.  Blue skies and a low hanging sun confirmed that I had arrived at the right time…

-20° C temperatures ensured that I didn’t stay too long though!
